Hands down, Hurry Curry of Tokyo is the best takeout spot I've experienced in recent memory. They are a solid example of Yoshoku (Japanese-style Western cuisine), showcasing delicious curries, fried items like katsu, shrimp, fish, korokke, and pasta dishes with Japanese twist. I do wish they still offered sake and beer, but since they don't, I opted for takeout. Everything tasted delicious and was well-prepared. Highly recommend!

We ordered this for togo and had it about an hour later. Even when it was a bit cold, the food was AMAZING. The curry is amazing and I really like this place. One bad thing is that the parking is very bad and hard to even stop to pick up the food. They are very accommodating and try to offer food as quick as possible. They are very authentic to Japan and I recommend anyone to come here for a bite.

The courier is absolutely delicious! Service was friendly and very fast. The portions are generous, and the price is fair. We very much enjoyed their appetizers, salads, as well as the chicken Katsu. Delicious flavors, made fresh order. Highly recommended for a flavorful and satisfying meal in the area!

Had lunch today at a Japanese curry spot that I've loved since my college days. It used to be located in Sawtelle but moved to Santa Monica some time ago. It's been a family favorite for years, and we make it a point to visit 2-3 times a year. As usual, we ordered the Chicken Pasta with an extra portion, the Spicy Cutlet Curry, and the Extra Spicy Karaage Chicken Curry, which is my daughter's favorite. The meal always starts with a simple salad, and the food comes out quickly. The Chicken Pasta was just as delicious as always, and my wife and I shared the curry dishes. The fast service is great, and you can grab water yourself, so there's no need to order drinks. We packed the leftover chicken and curry to go, and the restaurant provides convenient to-go boxes right next to the tables, making it super easy. One tip: Ask for fukujinzuke! (Red Radish Pickle) They provide it for free if you request it, and it pairs perfectly with the curry. Be sure to take only as much as you'll eat.

I have been going to Hurry Curry of Tokyo since I was on college and they were at their location at Sawtelle. Honestly, I would probably go once a week if it was closer (hint hint Hurry Curry) to Pasadena. I always get the Tokyo Curry but I've tried my friends' Chicken Cutlet Curry, Fried Chicken Curry, and Menchi Katsu Curry. All are bomb. I just can't not get my Tokyo Curry. If I have to meet someone on the west side, this is my first recommendation of places to eat. Please come to the east side Hurry Curry. Signed - your biggest fan. Parking below, tables inside and outside. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to Hurry Curry.

They were able to accommodate our party of 15! We saw a steady stream of people with pick up orders but the staff was quick to seat people, take orders and clear tables. Huge selection of sharables, curry combos and noodle dishes. Be sure to check out their special new dishes off menu: we noticed they had loco moco and katsu sandwiches. Parking is readily available behind the shopping complex and some underground spots too.

Over come here since '97 and has been my goto curry house since. However, I've tried many other Japanese curry restaurants and revert back to Hurry Curry. BTW Cubby Curry didn't agree with my pallet. Today the Cutlet was super fresh and crunchy. The Chicken was thick and bigger than normal. The last 2 times I've eaten here the panko was brown and chicken was super flat and dry. I applaud the change. Service was excellent. The server was attentive and accommodate us when we they were busy. Ambiance was good and clean!

This long time favorite restaurant for Japanese-style curries in Los Angeles continues to be a great choice. Even though there was some sadness felt when they left the Little Osaka neighborhood, they stayed in West LA which isn't a too far departure. Their katsu items are good and consistent. The curries are consistent and characteristic of the Japanese style, and the availability of spice levels is a welcome choice for every customer. Side items are the same menu items. Japanese style comfort food at its best.
